Free your feet. Free your run.
For true runners, the connection between foot and pavement is almost spiritual. That's why shoes are so important. Especially when your shoes mimic your best asset: your feet. Only FiveFingers give you freedom to run, climb, jump. Anything. Wherever you want to explore, you can. With complete freedom.
It's not just about changing your shoes. It's about changing your mindset and the way you run. It's about reconnecting with the ground you're running on and letting your body guide your experience.
The tone is uplifting and reflective. The copy flows like a runner's stream of consciousness while doing what he or she loves. Every execution has a call to break out of the norm and change the way you think about running. Which is fitting, because breaking out of the norm is exactly what FiveFingers have done.

As my Senior Project, I have created Lumin's brand, products, and marketing strategy. Lumin's energy efficient LED light bulbs provide natural warm white illumination and effective sanitation. This innovative technology uses a narrow spectrum of light that can kill bacteria while remaining harmless to humans, allowing Lumin products to serve in place of regular lighting. For the first time, clean is available at the flip of a switch.Branding, Package Design, Advertising2011 -
Designed and illustrated for three of Jane Austen's novels: Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion, and Emma, these book covers feature hand-lettered typography and hand-painted watercolor background artwork to capture the essence of the time period in which they were written. As the works were originally written by hand, and watercolor was a popular medium of the time, often used by Jane's sister Cassandra, the authoress herself would have been exposed to these mediums.Graphic Design, Illustration, Print Design2012 -
The Indian Rummy Network, an affiliate company of Innopark (India) Private Limited, needed branding and a website designed specifically for an Indian target market. As a business to business network for online gaming sites, the overall look needed to be classy and professional to appeal to customers. Using the suits from a deck of cards, I created various background patterns displayed in the website, as well as the logo, which is loosely inspired from the architectural shape of the Taj Mahal.Branding, Web Design, Pattern Design2012 -
Pencil illustrated typography. Inspired by play on words with each animal name and the physical qualities of the animal. Just plain good fun and nerdy pun play.Illustration, Typography2012 -
Cheeze Media, an affiliate company of Innopark (India) Private Limited, is focused on creating digital design and marketing strategies for other companies in a business to business operation. In order to revitalize the look of the company, this project was a complete overhaul of their previous branding and website in existence. By creating a new tagline of "Simplicity + Marketing," the new design scheme was born creating a brand new look and feel to appeal to their target market.Branding, Web Design, User Interface Design2011 -
Poster/Mailer co-designed with one other student to promote UW-Stout's Graphic Design Senior Show in May 2011. Mailed to over 100 midwest design firms.
The theme explained: "DFIX- Design, Fabrication, & Innovation for Xtreme Affordability. The world needs more cost-effective solutions for the people at the Base of the Pyramid – to scale, and quickly. Many more public contracts will be offered to social enterprises but at rock-bottom prices, as desperate authorities simply need services as cheaply as possible and can't wait for a better tomorrow."Graphic Design, Print Design, Typography2011 -

Karbonprint Software allows the user to easily track their daily environmental impact. The monitoring system simplifies living eco-friendly and makes it much easier for anyone to make small or big changes in their life. Begin with the first CD to track your carbon footprint, and progress through the software package. This package also unfolds counterclockwise in the direction of the logo's dial, in another effort to make eco-tracking as fun and easy as possible for the average person.Packaging, Product Design, Branding2011 -
This hand lettered typography is composed of phrases I've heard from my Iowan grandparents many times over the years. It was my goal to record a few amusing sayings in a way that would capture the humor and character of the dialogue.Typography, Illustration2012 -
For 3 months in the fall of 2011 I lived in, worked in, and experienced Hyderabad, India as a Graphic Design Intern. Below are 5 tips and a few photographs documenting my adventures.
Top 5 Things I Learned in India:
1. Traffic is absolutely positively one of the most horrifying things I've ever seen.
2. Even the locals are used to constant language barriers. That's what happens when over 40 languages are spoken in the same country.
3. As a foreigner, you get used to sticking out...a lot.
4. Get real good at bargaining, real fast.
5. People are still people everywhere.Photography, Photojournalism, Writing2012
